Heavenly Father, thank You for the privilege of calling You my Father, for that is who You are. Thank You, Lord, that as my Father, my Creator, I was designed uniquely. I may have similarities to family and other people I’ve connected with in life but I am one of a kind (Psalm 139:14). You know me better than I know myself. Praise You, Father, that because I am in Christ, I am forgiven and blessed, chosen and loved lavishly, redeemed and adopted into Your family (Ephesians 1). Your complete love for me surpasses any human love!
I pray, Jesus, Your character would permeate through my personality and would trump my natural self. Teach me to walk in Your Spirit and think with the mind of Christ. Please keep me from self-absorption, whether insecurity or arrogance; either way it’s pride. I want to walk in love and kindness and with a humble heart, Lord. I can only do that consistently by allowing Your Holy Spirit to have control over my thoughts.
I invite You to change the way I perceive and respond to life’s unexpected turns. I pray to have a Kingdom perspective, and I desire Your love and grace to dispel any worldly or negative thinking that I default to. Thank You that Your Word is able to renew my mind and change me at the core level so I can know Your will (Romans 12:2).
In Christ, I am an overcomer! (1 John 5:4) I am not a victim; I choose to trust You Lord. I believe like Joseph that You can turn difficulties, and even things that were meant to harm me, for good in my life and for Your Glory (Genesis 50:20). I am not picked on. I have been allowed these trials to prove my faith is genuine (1 Peter 1:6,7). I know if everything were too easy, Lord, I might think I didn’t need You. I DO need You, Father! Thank You for Your faithfulness to me through all I’ve lived through and for all I will face in life. Through the good times and bad, You are ever with me. Praise You, Father!
I am crucified with Christ. It’s You living in me, Jesus, it’s not my own life (Galatians 2:20). Use me as You choose. Equip me and anoint me, I pray, to speak life into others around me. Thank You, Jesus, that You are mine and I am Yours and we all belong to the Father, forever… (John 17:9,10). I pray to simply feel Your Presence and Your love for me today. I love You, Lord, and pray all this in the beautiful Name of my Savior, my Jesus.
Amen.
