As I read through the Gospels, and especially Luke at this Christmas season, I found that I am not the only man that has asked the question, “Why me?” Why has God chosen me to tell the world of HIS wonderful gift of miracles?
Concerning the birth of John the Baptist in his later years, Zacharias only asked a question, “How will I know this for certain?” He was unable to speak until the birth of his child came to pass. Joseph, confused about the pregnancy of Mary, was taking things into his own hands when the angel appeared to him in a dream and gave him his instructions. Joseph arose from his sleep and did what the angel commanded him. The scripture does not say that he questioned, but I am sure in his mind he said “What in the heck is going on here?” But Joseph did not falter … for the miracle was certainly clear.
The miracle of life is certainly very clear to me every day. I am a living, breathing miracle. But far greater is the miracle of NEW LIFE that is offered through THE SON, JESUS CHRIST. This Christmas season may we rejoice in the birth of the ONE who has brought to the world PEACE, HOPE, LOVE, and JOY!
Joy To The World, the Lord
Jesus Christ is Come!
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9 NASB)
