It’s amazing how things change in our own situation when we take our eyes of of us and focus on other things … like a Holy God who is jealous for our praise. When we take time to exalt (honor and recognize) the Character of God and His endless provision for our needs, THINGS CHANGE DRASTICALLY. Our pity party becomes His praise party. So, take time with me today by singing these two wonderful songs of praise to our Heavenly Father while focusing on each of the promises and character qualities He brings to the table.
- First, sing these songs as many times as you like. I promise it will change your attitude.
- Secondly, write out each character quality our God offers us in a relationship with him. Use the alphabet to keep up. For instance, A-Adoration, Adonai; B-Beloved, Bread of Life; C-Counselor, Creator; D-Daystar; E- (now you can finish the alphabet.) Be creative when necessary. I always like trying to find a word or description with Q, X, and Z. Then keep this list near when you feel discouraged.
