O Lord, You are God of all creation, Maker of heaven and earth. We worship and adore You and look to You for all we need.
Thank You, Father, for Your Presence and Your love toward us. We really are amazed by You. Keep us connected to the True Vine: our beloved Lord Jesus for without You we can do nothing. (John 15:5) We need You and want Your Spirit in full measure.
Please hear my prayer today for relief to _______________ who is suffering with chronic physical pain. Thank You, God, for anesthesia for difficult procedures. Thank You for the varieties of medications and new techniques that are now available. I ask You to improve their effectiveness while reducing all side effects from these drugs. Restore a good appetite and function to his/her body. I ask that You would ultimately please remove the pain by healing the source of it. Bring healing to this body in Jesus’ Name. Your Word says that He bore our grief and sorrow and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:4,5)
I plead the Blood of our Lord Jesus and ask healing from all mental pain and confusion as well. Grief, sorrow and depression are real forms of pain, too, that often accompany chronic physical pain. _______________ may have forgotten how it even feels to feel good … Please revive and energize him/her! Bring clarity to thought processes. Confusion, leave in Jesus’ Name. Lord, the daily miracles are sometimes simply Your peace, comfort and joy to this child of Yours, in spite of all he/she has endured. Be glorified Father in his/her choice to not complain, to present a good attitude and to be willing to cooperate.
And finally, Lord, for those in emotional pain, I pray You will bind up the broken-hearted. Truly, bestow a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of despair. Your Word says _____________ is an oak of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of Your splendor. (Isaiah 61:1-3) Assure him/her of Your love for them. You have not forgotten them in this difficult season he/she is facing. You see. You understand the agony of dread. You desire to heal their heart, the seat of all our emotions. Bring stability to _______________’s emotions. Let him/her be amazed at the strength you impart.
So, please lift emotional, mental and physical pain away I pray as we cling to our Jesus, our brother. Thank You, Father God, for His willingness to go to the Cross and lay down His life in our place. The Blood of the Lamb has atoned for sin and opened the doors of relationship with Almighty God! Fix our eyes on this One, Jesus. (Hebrews 12:2) We look to You and desire to know You more, trust You fully, and we long to see You face to face. In just a little while we will and it will all be so worth it. We love you Lord.
In Jesus’ name! Amen and amen.
