In an earlier post I mentioned the phenomenal experience of watching and hearing over 60,000 young adults packing the Georgia Dome for Passion2013. They were singing to the top of their lungs with the David Crowder Band the bluegrass favorite “I Saw the Light.” It’s a memory I will never soon forget.
If you want to hear David sing that song on YouTube then to to the link below … it’s a fun, hand-clapping, foot-stomping, happy song. And I must admit once again this is such a song of encouragement to me … and I could use that big-time right now.
So put on your inner Hee-Haw, overalls, hay sticks in the mouth, best boots and join us all singing, clapping, and stomping to “I Saw the Light.”
I SAW THE LIGHT
I wandered so aimless life filed with sin
I wouldn’t let my dear Savior in
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night
Praise the Lord I saw the light.
[Chorus]
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness no more night
Now I’m so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light.
Just like a blind man I wandered along
Worries and fears I claimed for my own
Then like the blind man that God gave back his sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light.
[Chorus]
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness no more night
Now I’m so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light.
I was a fool to wander astray
Straight is the gate and narrow the way
Now I have traded the wrong for the right
Praise the Lord I saw the light.
[Chorus]
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness no more night
Now I’m so happy no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord I saw the light.
