I have been amazed, to say the least, at the outpouring of appreciation that dear friends and church members have expressed to me over the recent months. Youth growing into faithful followers, singles experiencing redemption and direction, families rerouted, and even having fun in the midst of it all … dancing before the LORD! Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think the Lord could use me to help influence lives, and I am humbled to be chosen. We never know when someone is watching or is in need. Sometimes it only takes a spark.
My friend, Beth Smith, texted me this week and reminded me of a song I have used many times throughout the years; it’s a golden oldie for sure:
It only takes a spark to get a fire going,
And soon all those around are warmed up in it’s glowing.
That’s how it is with God’s love
Once you’ve experienced it.
You spread HIS love to everyone,
You want to pass it on.
Having cancer has given me the experience of renewing friendships with you, my friends, and many others. I can only hope that we all today will start THE spark that keeps on going in someone’s life.
PASS IT ON
It only takes a spark to get a fire going,
And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing;
That’s how it is with God’s Love,
Once you’ve experienced it,
You spread His love to everyone
You want to pass it on.
What a wondrous time is spring,
When all the tress are budding
The birds begin to sing, the flowers start their blooming;
That’s how it is with God’s love,
Once you’ve experienced it.
You want to sing, it’s fresh like spring,
You want to pass it on.
I wish for you my friend
This happiness that I’ve found;
You can depend on God
It matters not where you’re bound,
I’ll shout it from the mountain top – PRAISE GOD!
I want the world to know
The Lord of love has come to me
I want to pass it on.
I’ll shout it from the mountain top – PRAISE GOD!
I want the world to know
The Lord of love has come to me
I want to pass it on.
