Two (2) posts today: 1. A great old song we can all sing as we enter a new year together. What a great testimony of our willingness to be led by our heavenly Father. Sing it with me . . . . .
2. A personal word on my current situation. Note: I have missed you and hope you the same. More songs of worship will be forthcoming. Any suggestions for our Facebook Family Worshippers?
ALL THE WAY MY SAVIOR LEADS ME
All the way my Savior leads me;
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His tender mercy,
Who through life has been my Guide?
Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
Here by faith in Him to dwell!
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well,
For I know, whate’er befall me,
Jesus doeth all things well.
All the way my Savior leads me,
Cheers each winding path I tread,
Gives me grace for every trial,
Feeds me with the living bread.
Though my weary steps may falter,
And my soul athirst may be,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! a spring of joy I see,
Gushing from the Rock before me,
Lo! a spring of joy I see.
All the way my Savior leads me;
Oh, the fullness of His grace!
Perfect rest to me is promised
In my Father’s blest embrace.
When my spirit, clothed immortal,
Wings its flight to realms of day,
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way,
This my song through endless ages:
Jesus led me all the way.
PERSONAL UPDATE:
Many of you have asked about an update on my situation. Thanks so much for you concern and love extended to me and Bonita in these recent days. We covet your prayers. Thanks to the generosity of our dear, dear friends Louie and Shelley Giglio, we went to Atlanta for Passion2013. It was outstanding! Having been a part of these through the years at the 1st Passion in Austin with 2500 students. And now to see it grow to 60,000+ young adults (18-25) filling the Georgia Dome. Amazing. The messages and the worship was glorious!! Unfortunately, the chemotherapy I was taking every night while in Atlanta overtook my body. It actually kicked my tail with lots of negative side effects!!! We came home a day early and began to recoup here in Houston while adjusting to the medications. Bummer.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Please pray for relief in my body from back surgeries, side effects from chemo, and general strength in legs, foot, and hip. I would also really appreciate some prayer related to my anxiety about my situation. Also, please pray for the continuation of what God did at Passion in the lives of those young people. Pray for Louie and Shelley Giglio. They need your prayer-power unleashed NOW!!!
