We are all in the midst of celebrating the Gift of Christmas … God’s deep love gift in the form of His Only Son, Jesus. It was the beginning demonstration of God’s redeeming love for us. Jesus would come with hope and power to meet each of us at our greatest point of need. Well, I can testify that in the past months I have been OVERWHELMED by God’s love shown to me in so many, many ways. He continues to be real to me on every turn. My prayer for us all is that we will KNOW that God loves us so much that He sent His Son, Jesus, as a visual signal to His deep love for you, me, all of us.
On a personal note: Please continue to pray for me. Your prayers have been the greatest gift I could have ever been given. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We have begun heavy doses of chemotherapy (doubled) each day. It’s a tough and challenging road it has put us back on. Our prayer is that the cancer will remain dormant (not active or growing).
Blessings to each of you. Spend these days before His Big Birthday Celebration on the 25th contemplating God’s deep love for YOU as expressed through the Gift of His Son, Jesus.
Sing this one if you know it:
I AM SO GLAD THAT JESUS LOVES ME
I am so glad that Jesus loves me
Jesus loves me, Jesus loves me
I am so glad that Jesus loves me
Jesus loves even me.
And this one old wonderful hymn too:
THE LOVE OF GOD
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen can ever tell;
It goes beyond the highest star,
And reaches to the lowest hell;
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled,
And pardoned from his sin.
Refrain:
Oh, love of God, how rich and pure!
How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
The saints’ and angels’ song.
