Though I know we’ve posted this song before, two reasons I’d like to re-post it:
1. It’s Bonita’s favorite! ‘Nuff said! If you don’t know her well, let me inform you that she is “Saint Bonita.” What an amazing, godly, sensitive, and tireless champion of God’s work and Word. For over a year and a half she has stopped everything in her life to become my caregiver, constant friend, nurse, counsel, and beloved wife … she defines the Proverbs 31 woman. She has been there through six back surgeries, two brain surgeries, and then to daily stand by my side to meet my every need. I love you, Bo!
2. The lyrics sum up God’s character and desire to be our Good Shepherd in ANY circumstance we find ourselves. It’s a classic, great hymn I hope you know and sing with us today. Ready? Go!
SAVIOR LIKE A SHEPHERD LEAD US
Savior, like a shepherd lead us,
Much we need Thy tender care;
In Thy pleasant pastures feed us,
For our use Thy folds prepare.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
Thou hast bought us, Thine we are.
We are Thine, Thou dost befriend us,
Be the guardian of our way;
Keep Thy flock, from sin defend us,
Seek us when we go astray.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
Hear, O hear us when we pray.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
Hear, O hear us when we pray.
Early let us seek Thy favor,
Early let us do Thy will;
Blessed Lord and only Savior,
With Thy love our bosoms fill.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
Thou hast loved us, love us still.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
Thou hast loved us, love us still.
On a personal note: I’ve spent the past night at Methodist Hospital West dealing with some blood clots on my lungs and right arm. The residual side effects from radiation and chemo can cause a multitude of unexpected problems. Please pray for resolution to the clots, clear direction from the doctors, and freedom from pain and anxiety.
Blessings to you my FB Friends.
Now, let’s sing this song like we really believe our Shepherd will guide us through any situation.
