If you are anything like me then this annual season comes around and I find myself very praise-deficient. I spend way too little time praising God for His impact on my life, health, and outlook. How about you? Don Moen penned a wonderful song of thanks that really zings me every time I hear it sung or choose to sing it myself.
Hopefully, this week I can dedicate myself to thanking the Lord for the things that really matter, the people that stand beside me, the prayer warriors that have provided powerful intercession, and the Body of Believers that have stepped up to meet my many needs. They are so dear to me. You know who you are … thank you!!!
Again, let’s focus on the meaty things that really matter during this Thanksgiving week. May we focus on others rather than ourselves. Sing with me today . . .
GIVE THANKS (Don Moen)
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”
Give thanks with a grateful heart
Give thanks to the Holy One
Give thanks because He’s given Jesus Christ, His Son
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”
And now let the weak say, “I am strong”
Let the poor say, “I am rich
Because of what the Lord has done for us”
Give thanks
We give thanks to You, oh Lord
We give thanks.
. . . and another you can listen to on YouTube and sing along:
THANK YOU LORD (Hillsong)
For all that You’ve done, I will thank You
For all the You’re going to do
For all that You’ve promised
And all that You are
Is all that has carried me through
Jesus, I thank You.
And I thank You, thank You, Lord.
And I thank You, thank You, Lord.
Thank You for loving and setting me free
Thank You for giving Your life just for me.
How I thank You, Jesus, I thank You.
Gratefully thank You.
Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.
