Holy God, thank You for the open-door access I have at all times to come to You. I am holy and righteous in Your perfect vision only because the Blood of Jesus purifies me from all my sin (1 John 1:9). What a wonderful, glorious gift we have in Jesus! I can hardly comprehend it but believe You love me with an irrevocable love. Your Word speaks of it all over the scriptures.
“For I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels won’t, and all the powers of hell itself cannot keep God’s love away. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, or where we are—high above the sky, or in the deepest ocean—nothing will ever be able to separate us from the love of God demonstrated by our Lord Jesus Christ when he died for us.” (Romans 8:38,39 TLB)
Father, no matter how critical my present circumstances are, I want to know this fact to the depths of my soul. I pray You will embed it into my DNA as a solid truth: I will never be separated from Your Love. Hallelujah! We are eternally connected. You are aware of every aspect of my life as well as my innermost fears and sorrows. You understand me. You KNOW me and You love me. And because I am a deeply loved child of God, I in turn can share it with others.
Lord, please may this season not be wasted in any way. I want to know more of You. Is there depth of knowing You that is only accessible through suffering? Show me what You want me to see. Please open my eyes to knowing You in a richer way. You promise hidden treasures in secret places so I may know You (Isaiah 45:3). I long for that. You deliver me in my suffering; You speak to me in my affliction (Job 36:15). You have my full attention, Lord. Please reveal Yourself more fully that I may trust even more.
Be glorified in my life, I pray. Please use me according to Your plans. I surrender my need to control and ask only that You allow me to feel Your Presence. Without You I am simply not able to face another day. Thank You, Father, that Your promise revives me; it comforts me in all my troubles (Psalm 119:50). Your Word says it is good to suffer because I will truly learn You statutes (Psalm 119:71).
I love you, Jesus. I want to walk with You all the days of my life. I desire to hear Your voice and follow You. Thank You for suffering and dying in my place. What I am enduring is nothing compared to what You experienced. Thank You, Jesus, for the courage You give me. In this world I will have trouble and suffering, but I actively receive Your courage because You have overcome the world! (John 16:33) It is only for a season … help me be brave. Help me to relinquish control and totally trust You.
You are worthy of all my attention and praise. May it be so. In the Name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
