Great are You, LORD and worthy of praise; Your greatness no one can fathom. You are good to all; You have compassion on all You have made. All You have made will praise You, O LORD. (Ps 145:3,9,10)
Thank You, God, for Your unfathomable greatness. We cannot even wrap our minds around how awesome You are or how awesome Your love is for us. We bless You today and thank You simply for allowing us to have relationship with You. Nothing we have done earns Your love; it is by Your grace that we are welcomed to Your family. We desire to know Your love all the way down to the core of our beings. Let it be, Lord! Your Spirit pours that very love into our hearts. (Romans 5:5) We can love others only because You first loved us. (1 John 4:19) Let us truly receive Your love and acceptance in Jesus, Messiah.
Father God, I pray today for ______________ who is in a place of sorrow and fear because of unsure circumstances. I pray Your love would flood his/her very soul. We can do almost anything, Lord, if we know You are with us. Press in and let Your Presence be clearly felt and known by _________________. Just as Moses asked to see Your Glory, please show us Your Glory. You answered that You would show Your goodness and have compassion. (Exodus 33:18-20) Thank You, God, for Your goodness and compassion on _______________’s life. He/she is not alone; You are ever there and care deeply about what’s going on.
Jesus, You grieve his/her circumstances too. You long for the time when there will be no more sickness or death. Revelation 21:4 says that You will wipe every tear from our eyes. There will be no more death, mourning, crying or pain. Praise You, Lord! The time will come! But for now, today, it has not yet come and we live with certain difficulties and suffering.
We are privileged to place our hope and trust in You, the Redeemer of this fallen world and of each one of us, individually. Thank You, Jesus, for the finished work of the cross that frees us from judgment. By faith, we receive Your grace upon our lives; we are so blessed in turn to be received as true sons and daughters of the Living God. (Hebrews 2:10,11) Amazing grace indeed!
We’re so grateful for a God of hope who fills us with all joy and peace as we trust in You; You promise to fill us with hope overflowing by the power of Your Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13) That hope is for here and now in our present day’s circumstances, challenges, and disappointments. It is also for that beautiful day when we cross over into eternity and will meet Your open arms.
Increase ________________’s faith to trust You in any areas of doubt or unbelief. I pray a stronger faith would develop as never before. It’s said that the testing of our faith develops perseverance and perseverance must finish its course so we may become full-grown in our faith as mature believers. (James 1:3,4) It is also said in the scriptures that these very sufferings are what produce perseverance, which in turn builds character, which then grows hope in us. (Romans 5:3,4) Your ways are so beyond us, Lord, but in a strange way, we can be grateful for suffering … it brings a new level of intimacy with You.
I pray You will strengthen the fabric of _______________’s faith that he/she is fully confident and sure, shining Jesus during this season of his/her life. May ministry to others be compulsory to him/her, as natural as breathing, as he/she shares the source of hope in You, O God, and Your beloved Son.
Lord, You are worthy of all praise and honor due Your holy Name. Be glorified through our lives day by day by day. Keep ___________________ close to Your heart. Protect his/her mind, body, soul and spirit from all evil I pray. Thank You for Your love and compassion.
In Jesus’ life-giving Name I pray.
Amen.
