Before I can move forward in my life, I need the Lord Jesus Christ to invade my heart. This is my prayer each morning as I place my feet on the floor. I ask that He fill my heart with only the good things that He has promised, and keep my heart in tune with Him so that nothing can come between His will and mine.
Invade is a word that, as I look back, my life has sought all these years. To be passionate about something is to have it penetrate to the very core of your being. Having that something enter as to take possession, to permeate, spread into or over, to be a verb … one of action. My desire is for God’s love to take action in everything I am doing, or will do.
As I look back on my life’s work, were there flaws? Certainly so. Were there moments of utter joy? Most definitely so. Were there times that literally took my breath away? That would be a…yes!
How can I pass that invasion of passion, God’s passion, on to others? My daily desire is still to touch others. To share the joy that only Christ can bring to their lives. To share what I found in ministry … that joyful passion of Christ to pass on to others through relationships found one on one.
Christy Nockels wrote a song calling to mind the need we have as Believers to stop and ask for counsel, not only with other Believers, but mainly counsel from the Holy One. Our life, our home, our workplace must be turned totally over and humbly handed to Him. INVADED. Giving Him the keys to open any door that hides our most personal sin. In doing this, it gives us the freedom that is promised by the Lord Jesus Christ. Each one of us can have that freedom if we give our lives over to Christ.
Invade us, Lord, so that we can be complete in You.
INVADE
Come, come in, invade all You see of us
Any man, who’d walk Your road is welcomed here
And You’re the only one
Oh Jesus, come and walk the halls of this house
Yeah tread this place and turn it inside out, oh with Your mercy
And Jesus teach us the prayers that open these doors
Until Your light floods in and illuminates these floors
And let Your truth be on our steps and in these rooms
Jesus invade, invade
And reach, reach in with the hand that heals all our suffering
Conquer all that is not of You, bring Your spirit through
As we fill these walls with Your praise
Oh Jesus, come and walk the halls of this house
Yeah tread this place and turn it inside out, oh with Your mercy
Oh Jesus teach us the prayers that open these doors
Until Your light floods in and illuminates these floors
And let Your truth be on our steps and in these rooms
Jesus invade, invade
And I call for angels
And I call for mercy
And I call for freedom
In the name of Jesus
In the name of Jesus
Come, come in, invade all You see of us
Any man, who’d walk Your road is welcomed here
And You’re the only one, You’re the only one
And You’re the only one
Oh Jesus, come and walk the halls of this house
Yeah tread this place and turn it inside out, oh with Your mercy
And Jesus teach us the prayers that open these doors
Until Your light floods in and illuminates these floors
And let Your truth be on our steps and in these rooms
Jesus invade, invade
As I call for angels
I call for mercy
In the name of Jesus
